The GES helicopter rescues an injured hiker in Roque Nublo

At around 14:40 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that a hiker had suffered a fall and required medical assistance because due to the injuries she presented, she could not. continue their march in the Roque Nublo Zone, municipality of Tejeda.

 

 

 

A 62-year-old woman who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented moderate trauma to her lower limb, was rescued by the GES helicopter and transferred to the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

 

The rescuers from the GES helicopter reached the victim and, after providing initial assistance and immobilizing her, evacuated her in the aircraft to the hospital helipad, where an SUC ambulance took charge of her transfer to the hospital emergency service.

 

 

 

 

Firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium went to the scene of the incident, although in the end their intervention was not necessary.
