Anfi becomes the capital of Norway
Anfi celebrated Norway's National Day in grand style , transforming itself into the impromptu capital of the Scandinavian country for the entire day. On this special occasion, the parade of Nordic citizens, music, flags, and chants were always present. This event is a recurring tradition in Anfi, thanks in part to Anfi's founder, the Norwegian Björn Lyng . The massive parade, led by the 'Norwegian School of Arguineguín' and representatives of the Norwegian community, displayed national flags on a very different Friday, according to a press release.
Specifically, Arguineguín is one of the favorite spots for this community, not only for vacations but also for living with their families. The best proof of this is the massive procession of Norwegians who, every year, "take over" Anfi in a fun and colorful parade that circles the island. The final destination was the Plaza de Anfi del Mar, adorned for the solemn occasion with hundreds of national flags, and all the attendees singing the national anthem. In fact, more than half a million Norwegians (10% of the population) choose the Canary Islands for their holidays. " To speak of Norway is to speak directly of Anfi , since Norwegians are a very important customer base for us," the statement notes. During the high season (October to March), the statement continues, they represent more than 60% of the occupancy at Anfi's resorts and constitute a significantly higher weekly expenditure than the average at the five hotels that make up the Anfi Group.
