The government group of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, through the Department of Education, fulfills another electoral commitment and has reopened the offices of the Los Fraguel Rock Municipal Day Care Center in Castillo del Romeral, after subjecting it to important repair and improvement works.
These works, which began at the end of last August, have brought the facilities up to date with the correction of the closure and sealing problems that the doors and windows had, the repair of the ceilings, the covering and tiling of walls and floors, the renovation of the plumbing and cleaning of the bathrooms of users and staff, pruning of trees and general cleaning of the landscaping, the complete adaptation of the kitchen with removal and replacement of appliances and renovation of sinks and kitchenware, the renovation of the patios interior and exterior and the renovation of the shade awnings, the change of lighting, the paving of the entrance and replacement of the general door and the identification sign of the center, the provision of a telephone line and the installation of a telematic service for tasks administrative, among other improvements.
The delegate councilor for Education and Nursery Schools, Esther Delgado, recalled that the Castillo daycare center “was closed by the previous government in 2020 with the excuse of the covid pandemic, but they did not reopen it after declaring the end of the state of alarm in June 2021. Despite the important public service it had been providing to families in the district, they argued that it was not profitable to open it because there were not enough children to meet the demand. And they lied, because since Monday this help has already been provided to 17 families and we are waiting to adapt another classroom to be able to expand the service ratio to 20 children.”
Adaptation and dining room
During this first week, the registered minors are attending the center in the process of adaptation, and starting next Monday the 12th they will begin to do so with educational and care activities at full and regular hours, from 8.00:15.00 a.m. to 324.000:XNUMX p.m., at sunset. launch of the dining room service by the catering company Eurest Colectividades, which has been awarded the supply of meals for the three municipal nurseries for the next two years for around XNUMX euros.
The services of the Municipal Nursery of Castillo del Romeral are aimed at all families in the municipality with children from 1 to 3 years old, especially for those living in the towns of Castillo, Juan Grande, El Matorral, Las Salinas, Kilómetro 40 and Aldea Blanca .
