National Police officers have arrested a woman in San Bartolomé de Tirajana as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of trespassing and threats , after she brandished a large machete against three men whom she demanded leave a house.

The events took place during the early morning of September 15 , when agents from the Citizen Assistance Group (GAC) were commissioned by the CIMACC 091 Room to a home in San Bartolomé de Tirajana after receiving a call alerting that a woman was in the building threatening several people with a knife.

Once at the location, the officers found three men who stated that they had been living in the house for approximately two and a half months, paying a monthly amount as rent.

The victims explained that the owner had demanded they leave the property and subsequently entered the home without their permission, and began collecting their belongings and packing their suitcases without their consent, even throwing them out of a window.

When the tenants refused to leave the house, the arrested woman left and returned moments later carrying and brandishing a large machete, and under threats she achieved her goal.

The officers were also able to verify the existence of video recordings provided by the victims, which corroborated their testimonies moments before the arrival of the police patrols.

The officers proceeded to arrest the woman, and also to seize a machete approximately 53 centimeters in total length, with a blade of about 40 centimeters.

Once the police investigation is completed, the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
