The fire, which broke out next to St. Olav's chapel, also affected the facade of a house and generated a dense column of smoke visible from different points in the Southeast.

A fire that broke out late Monday afternoon in the Las Rosas area of Agüimes destroyed a motorhome and damaged three parked cars and the facade of a nearby house . Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the GC-191 highway , which had been temporarily closed during the operation, was later reopened to traffic.

The fire broke out near the Chapel of San Olav , formerly the Museum of Roses , on the stretch of road between Cruce de Arinaga and El Carrizal . According to available information, the flames started in a motorhome and quickly spread to vehicles parked next to the building. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The fire generated a dense column of smoke that could be seen from various points in the Southeast region and from the GC-1 highway . Firefighters and Civil Guard officers were deployed to the scene, and the Civil Guard preemptively closed the GC-191 between Las Rosas and the Los Vélez Mountain area to facilitate the work of the emergency services.

No serious injuries or hospital transfers by ambulance were reported. Three people went to a health center on their own for evaluation, while a fourth declined medical assistance. After the fire was extinguished and the area secured, traffic was restored on the road.
