The Civil Guard has arrested one person for alleged crimes against industrial property and breach of precautionary measures. Officers verified that several boxes previously seized by court order had been opened after their seals were broken.
The operation was carried out by agents of the Fiscal and Border Patrol (PAFIF) of Vecindario during an inspection of a commercial establishment in southern Gran Canaria . The check was part of the follow-up to previously opened judicial proceedings for an alleged crime against industrial property.
During the inspection, officers observed that several boxes deposited at the establishment and sealed by court order had their seals broken and had been opened without authorization. Given this situation, they conducted a review of the merchandise on the premises.
The Civil Guard located sportswear, handbags, wallets, caps, belts, and other accessories that allegedly illegally reproduced well-known national and international brands . The approximate value of the seized goods exceeds €60.000.
Investigators also discovered merchandise related to the previously seized items, products not listed in the initial proceedings, and quantities exceeding those initially recorded. This evidence suggested that the precautionary measures established for some of the goods had been violated.
The person under investigation was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against industrial property and another for breaching precautionary measures . The merchandise was again seized and placed at the disposal of the court, while the affected boxes were resealed.
The proceedings have been sent to the competent Court of Instruction of San Bartolomé de Tirajana , which will continue with the judicial proceedings.
