Maspalomas launches this Saturday the Servatur Rainbow Family, its first full-color sporting and charity event

 

With the best of reasons and within the 50th anniversary of the Servatur chain, this great birthday party seeks to mark a milestone in the south of Gran Canaria which, for the first time, hosts an event of this kind, designed so that people of all ages and levels can enjoy an unforgettable race together.

 

 

The first Servatur Rainbow Family Run, which will begin in the late afternoon to avoid the hottest hours, will feature a 1,6-kilometer fun run for all ages and families, as well as a competitive 5K race, promising a spectacular sporting event. Starting at 4:00 PM, the Parque Europeo in Playa del Inglés will be the epicenter of fun for all ages, with a program that has been a resounding success in its various editions in Gran Canaria and the other islands for years.

 

After collecting the runner's bag, three uninterrupted hours of workshops and activities for children and families will serve as a prelude to an afternoon full of shared experiences, with which Servatur celebrates its half-century of history, going far beyond the party. At the Servatur Rainbow Family event, a portion of the registration fees will be donated to the Pequeño Valiente Foundation, directly supporting its work assisting and supporting children with cancer and their families in the Canary Islands.

 

Filled with solidarity, sport, joy, and the explosion of color from Holi powder, the event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. after a collective warm-up session on the main stage, led by Monte Feliz and Playitas, and with activities organized by Acttive Servatur. The excitement will then build as the two race options begin. For those seeking a family-friendly activity suitable for all levels, the Rainbow Family Mile offers a festive 1,6-kilometer walk, jog, or run. For those who prefer to test their times, this anniversary celebration will reset the clocks in the 5-kilometer Rainbow 5K, which has attracted the fastest runners on the island for the most colorful race on the island.

 

The spirit of the Holi powder festival will fill the route with a burst of color, music, and excitement from beginning to end, culminating in a grand open-air party with the awards ceremony for the competition and the highly anticipated concert by Los Salvapantallas. The iconic Canarian band's pop-rock covers and anthems will set the stage for the event's final stretch, as the Grand Finale Raffle, packed with surprises and promising to leave a lasting impression on the south of the island, will follow the performance.

 

The choice of this format in the Servatur Rainbow Family is no coincidence, as experience in other parts of the Canary Islands confirms it as the perfect plan to spend an unforgettable Saturday, combining sport, fun and a cause that moves hearts.
