The small village of Cercados de Araña, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, will once again gather from June 26 to 28 to celebrate festivities that keep alive the spirit of community, tradition and affection.
Nestled amidst the landscapes of the Tirajana midlands , Cercados de Araña retains the charm of Canarian villages, where doors remain open to welcome family, friends, and former neighbors who return each year to reconnect with their roots. The patron saint festivities are one of the most anticipated events for the community, a celebration that strengthens neighborly bonds and keeps alive the traditions passed down through generations.

The festivities will begin on Friday, June 26th, with the decoration of the neighborhood and the traditional ringing of the bells announcing the start of the celebrations. The day will continue with a zanga tournament at the community center and conclude with a lively open-air dance featuring the band Luz de Luna , kicking off a weekend filled with music and community spirit.
Saturday, June 27th, will be dedicated to family activities and the eagerly awaited pilgrimage through the town's streets. Locals will once again don traditional Canarian attire for this event, which draws participants from across San Bartolomé de Tirajana each year . Following the pilgrimage, the town square will host a lively all-night party featuring performances by Leyenda Joven and Nueva Imagen y su Bandurria , one of the most vibrant moments of the festivities.
The celebrations will conclude on Sunday, June 28th, with a solemn mass and procession in honor of Saint John the Baptist and Our Lady of Fatima , accompanied by the band La Banda Isleña . Afterwards, the closing festivities will take place, again featuring Nueva Imagen and their bandurria, bringing to a close a program that keeps alive the identity and traditions of this emblematic community in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The organizers of the festivities invite residents and visitors to participate in events that represent the essence of the Canarian villages: hospitality, tradition, folk music and intergenerational encounters in a privileged setting in the midlands of the municipality.
