Alejandro Marichal: “We want those who visit us and those who live here to enjoy a unique experience by the sea, in one of the most important tourist destinations in Europe.”
Yilenia Vega: “It will be a celebration that combines tradition, spectacle and fun for all ages, a moment to leave the old behind.”
Playa del Inglés beach will once again become the stage for one of the most anticipated and special nights of the year this June 23rd . The Department of Festivals and Events of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has prepared a grand celebration of the Night of San Juan , combining music, visual spectacles, entertainment, and a breathtaking fireworks display by the ocean.
The festivities will begin at 20:00 PM with a large batucada (percussion ensemble) starting from the Central Plaza of Annex II and winding its way through the entire shopping center. To the rhythm of the drums and accompanied by characters inspired by the magic of San Juan, such as stilt walkers, fire-eaters, sorcerers, and witches, the procession will draw residents and tourists to the beach at Playa del Inglés, where the rest of the program will take place.
The evening will continue with performances by Yet Garbey and La Mekánica by Tamarindos , along with a fire show and various artistic offerings that will transform the beach into a space filled with fantasy, music, and emotion. All of this will take place in a stunning setting, with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop and Maspalomas as a natural stage.
At midnight, one of the most anticipated moments of the evening will arrive. A spectacular fireworks display will illuminate the Playa del Inglés coastline to welcome summer and celebrate a tradition steeped in symbolism, wishes, and good fortune. After the show, DJ Toni Bob will bring the night to a close, a night designed for enjoyment, sharing, and creating unforgettable memories.
The First Deputy Mayor, Alejandro Marichal , emphasized that San Juan represents one of those nights capable of uniting thousands of people around a shared emotion. We want those who visit us and those who live here to enjoy a unique experience by the sea, in one of the most important tourist destinations in Europe. Playa del Inglés will once again demonstrate that it is a place where extraordinary things always happen.
For her part, the Councillor for Festivals and Events, Yilenia Vega , pointed out that they have designed a celebration that combines tradition, spectacle, and fun for all ages. The Night of San Juan has something special: it invites people to share, to leave the old behind and look to the future with hope. They want residents and visitors to experience an evening full of magic, music, and moments that will remain in their memories.
The City Council invites all citizens and visitors to join in this celebration, which gains prominence every year and transforms the Maspalomas coast into one of the best places in the Canary Islands to enjoy the most magical night of the year.
